Tokyo Monorail (東京モノレール, Tōkyō Monorēru), officially the Tokyo Monorail Haneda Airport Line (東京モノレール羽田空港線, Tōkyō Monorēru Haneda Kūkō sen), is a monorail system connecting Haneda Airport in Ōta, Tokyo, Japan, to Monorail Hamamatsuchō Station in Minato, Tokyo. The trains operate along an elevated line that follows the coast of Tokyo Bay.
The following three different train service types operate on the line.
Haneda Express trains make the non-stop run between Monorail Hamamatsuchō and Haneda Airport in 13 minutes.

Passengers using the monorail to travel to the airport can take advantage of check-in facilities at Hamamatsuchō. Japan's domestic airlines (JAL, ANA, Skymark Airlines, and Air Do) have check-in counters and ticket machines right at the station. Tokyo Monorail tickets can also be purchased on the lower level of Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Itami Airport (also in Osaka), as well as Naha Airport in Okinawa and departure gate area at Hiroshima Airport.
Tokyo International Airport (東京国際空港, Tōkyō Kokusai Kūkō), commonly known as Haneda Airport (羽田空港, Haneda Kūkō) or Tokyo Haneda Airport (IATA: HND, ICAO: RJTT), is one of the two primary airports that serve the Greater Tokyo Area, and is the primary base of Japan's two major domestic airlines, Japan Airlines (Terminal 1) and All Nippon Airways (Terminal 2), as well as Air Do, Skymark Airlines, Solaseed Air, and StarFlyer. It is located in Ōta, Tokyo, 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) south of Tokyo Station.
Haneda was the primary international airport serving Tokyo until 1978; from 1978 to 2010, Haneda handled almost all domestic flights to and from Tokyo as well as "scheduled charter" flights to a small number of major cities in East Asia, while Narita International Airport handled the vast majority of international flights. In 2010, a dedicated international terminal was opened at Haneda in conjunction with the completion of a fourth runway, allowing long-haul flights during night-time hours. Haneda opened up to long-haul service during the daytime in March 2014, with carriers offering nonstop service to 25 cities in 17 countries. The Japanese government is currently encouraging the use of Haneda for premium business routes and the use of Narita for leisure routes and by low-cost carriers.
Tokyo (東京, Tōkyō, "Eastern Capital") (Japanese: [toːkjoː], English /ˈtoʊki.oʊ/), officially Tokyo Metropolis (東京都, Tōkyō-to), is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan, and is both the capital and largest city of Japan. The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world. It is the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the Japanese government. Tokyo is in the Kantō region on the southeastern side of the main island Honshu and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Formerly known as Edo, it has been the de facto seat of government since 1603 when Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city his headquarters. It officially became the capital after Emperor Meiji moved his seat to the city from the old capital of Kyoto in 1868; at that time Edo was renamed Tokyo. Tokyo Metropolis was formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture (東京府, Tōkyō-fu) and the city of Tokyo (東京市, Tōkyō-shi).
An airport is an aerodrome with facilities for flights to take off and land. Airports often have facilities to store and maintain aircraft, and a control tower. An airport consists of a landing area, which comprises an aerially accessible open space including at least one operationally active surface such as a runway for a plane to take off or a helipad, and often includes adjacent utility buildings such as control towers, hangars and terminals. Larger airports may have fixed base operator services, airport aprons, air traffic control centres, passenger facilities such as restaurants and lounges, and emergency services.
An airport with a helipad for rotorcraft but no runway is called a heliport. An airport for use by seaplanes and amphibious aircraft is called a seaplane base. Such a base typically includes a stretch of open water for takeoffs and landings, and seaplane docks for tying-up.
An international airport has additional facilities for customs and immigration.
In warfare, airports can become the focus of intense fighting, for example the Battle of Tripoli Airport or the Battle for Donetsk Airport, both taking place in 2014. An airport primarily for military use is called an airbase or air station.

Hamamatsuchō Station (浜松町駅, Hamamatsuchō-eki) is a railway station in Hamamatsuchō, Minato, Tokyo, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and also by Tokyo Monorail.
Hamamatsuchō Station is served by two JR East lines: the circular Yamanote Line and Keihin-Tōhoku Line. All trains on these lines stop at Hamamatsuchō.
It is also the terminus of the Tokyo Monorail line to Haneda Airport. The official name of the monorail station is Monorail Hamamatsuchō Station (モノレール浜松町駅, Monorēru-Hamamatsuchō-eki).
The JR East station consists of two platforms serving four tracks, with cross-platform interchange in the direction of travel between the Yamanote line (tracks 2 and 3) and the Keihin-Tōhoku line (tracks 1 and 4).
The Tokyo Monorail platforms are located to the west of the JR station in a separate elevated structure. Two side platforms serve a single track, with one platform used for boarding passengers, and the other platform used for alighting passengers.

In Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport), there are two railroads, Tokyo Monorail and Keikyu line. This time, we will introduce Tokyo Monorail connecting Tokyo International Airport and JR Hamamatsucho Station (where JR Yamanote Line and JR Keihintohoku Line arrive and depart). Tokyo Monorail has Local Train, Rapid Train, Haneda Express which runs every three to five minutes. From Haneda Airport International Terminal Station to Monorail Hamamatsucho Station, about 14 minutes on Haneda Express going non-stop, the rate is 490 yen (250 yen for children). In this video, we introduce the journey from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport) to Monorail Hamamatsucho Station and from there to JR Hamamatsu-cho Station and the Hamamatsucho bus terminal (where an express bus and a sights...

Tokyo Monorail, runs from Hamamatsucho station to Haneda Airport. It was originally built for the Tokyo 1964 Olympics. Now a days it is the most busiest monorail systems in the world. It follows the Tokyo Bay, so if you ride this train, you get to enjoy the beautiful views of the Bay. Also, being an elevated track, riding this train gives you an unique perspective of the Tokyo city.
The Ueno Zoo Monorail is a 0.3 km (0.19 mi) long suspended monorail operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (Toei). It is similar to the Schwebebahn Wuppertal, but has rubber tires rather than steel wheels.[9] The line began operating on December 17, 1958. (Video 16. Oct. 2016.)

- If you're going to Akihabara, use either the Yamanote Line or the Keihin-Tohoku Line (track [platform] #1 or #2). - Between Shinagawa and Tabata, the two lines run in parallel. The only difference (in stations stopped at) in the section running from Shinagawa to Tabata (past Ueno) is that during some hours (typically mid-day), the Keihin-Tohoku Line skips some stations. - The Suica card is quite convenient - you can use it on all the trains and buses, and also use it to pay for things at many stores (convenience stores, etc.). - When going from one system to another, the charge is the same by going through a direct transfer gate as it would be to get off the system and back on (at that station). - Some of my (verbal) comments are regarding going to Ikebukuro, as I originally made this i...

This monorail will take you to Hamamatsucho Station which will link you to the Yomanote Line which is also free if you have the JR Rail Pass (use the manned gate). The Yamanote Line does a full loop around Central Tokyo which should reach most Hotels.

The Tokyo Monorail is one of my favorite monorails in the world. It has fast speeds, a smooth ride, and express trains! In this video, there are many shots of express trains zooming past stations, which is very unique for monorails! The Tokyo Monorail offers the Haneda Express Train (空港快速), the Rapid Train (区間快速), and the Local Train (普通).
Tokyo has a real monorail to Haneda airport, but it's not so impressive. The one on video is rather a train, but it is 100% automatic with no crew on board.
This is Tokyo Monorail type 1000. This is a test run.
